Mandatory and Recommended

Your professor will be available for one-on-one conferences, skills coaching, research advice, grammar practice, and general academic support, before and after every class by appointment.

Three Mandatory Conferences

• Once before the Spring Break
  • Students who do not conference will receive a failing Midterm grade
• Once after the Spring Break (before April 11)
• Once on the final day of class for an end-of-semester Grade Conference

Recommended Conferences

• Early in the semester to get a “grade forecast”
• Any time you don’t understand an assignment or need specific advice
• While you’re developing your research thesis

When and Where

• Make an appointment for any Tuesday or Thursday before or after class
• Conferences will be held in or near our usual classroom
