Title- Michael Jordan is the better NBA player over Lebron James.
During my proposal I will discuss why Michael Jordan is better the Lebron James. Many people including myself never got to watch the greatness of Michael Jordan live on Tv, this could easily lead to people downplaying how incredible of a player he was and why he is absolutely the best of all time. I also hope to find which of the two players played the hardest era’s. People of today have a clear bias towards Lebron as they grew up watching him and never saw a player like him. This is where during my research I will find how Michael Jordan not only is the better of the two players but it is not as close as people think it is.
Research Questions
- Does Michael Jordan or Lebron James have the better accolades
- Which of the two players had the touphest era’s
- Can Lebron ever catch up to Jordan
- Who is the best of all time
Hypothesis
- Whichever player people grew up with, fans will have a higher bias towards.
- Michael Jordan is better then Lebron James
What I expect to find: I expect in most of my research that older individuals will have a higher bias towards Michael Jordan over Lebron James and younger people will lean towards Lebron James, mainly on the reason that they grew up with that player therefore they may have bias. I also expect to find that Lebron will have better career stats then Michael Jordan and that could lead many into believing that Lebron is better while there are way more important stats that get looked over because someone score more all time points.

I’m going to make some revisions to your Hypothesis paragraph to model the level of formality/informality/correctness that earns the high grades in our course.

Go for: More Specific. Less Colloquial. Just slightly more formal. Did I mention More Specific?
By and large, the goal of an academic research paper is to surpass the level of credibility common in a barstool debate, HockeyPlayer. So, while I heartily endorse your plan to compare the careers of two basketball players through research, you’ll need to consult and share insights from at least some academic sources. This does not suggest that media analysis is unintelligent, or that collegiate eggheads have all the answers; merely that the focus of the course is on research, not the swapping of passionate opinions. “Best Of” competitions by their nature are endlessly fascinating for fans, but the outcome is never that one side convinces another: they’re about generating heat, not light. See if you can find anything in Google Scholar that helps define what we even mean by BEST in regard to team sports. Comparing eras is certainly a good angle to pursue. Another might be the classic “makes his teammates better.” You haven’t mentioned coaches; is there a chance one or the other was hobbled by poor coaching, or alternately, did one or the other function as a player/coach during game time? If you can introduce a novel concept into the conversation, you’ll have done your part. After that, throw down!
Remember, this post gets expanded with whatever other sources you consult. Be sure to add new material as you gather it. When it’s complete, we’ll change the name of the post to “Annotated Bibliography” and it will go right into your Portfolio.

I appreciate the expanded list, HP, and will Regrade accordingly.
My recommendation about academic sources still stands. A quick search of Google Scholar shows plenty of interest in the GOAT category, including several papers that directly address the Jordan LeBron debate, including

Then, when I strung together a whole mess of limiting factors in Google Scholar search:
+sports +excellence +criteria +greatest +”individual performance” +leadership +team-building +championship
I got a nice page of articles on building championship teams, something that might add some academic heft to your discussion of team leadership as a criterion for GOAT.
