Elevator Instructions—Burnbook

  • Open doors on each floor and press the call button. 
  • Go up and down in the order of each call. 
  • Do not skip call orders because of proximity.
  •  Elevator doors are to be left open for 8 seconds and should automatically close once the time is up unless a body or object is in the way of the door sensors. 
  • Once the elevator has finished the last drop off it should always ascend back to the first floor if not called to any other floors 
  • In emergencies, elevators should automatically shut off when fire alarms sound or hard rocking of the elevator occurs (the elevator should release all passengers as quickly as possible before shutting down.
