Elevator Instructions—Pineapple448

  • Recognize each of the floor buttons inside the elevator, numbered 1-5 as corresponding to each one of the 5 floors of the building. Have each button light up when pressed.
  • Recognize the up and down call buttons outside the elevator on each of the 5 floors, knowing from which floor the call is coming from, and knowing whether the passenger who called for the elevator wishes to proceed to a floor above them or a floor below them. Have these buttons light up when pressed as well.
  • When one of the call buttons outside the elevator is pressed, proceed to that floor, stop, and open doors. Leave doors open for ten seconds before closing, unless an object is detected between the doors.
  • If an object is detected between doors, open doors until the object is no longer recognized as being between them.
  • When the close-doors button is selected from inside the elevator, close doors immediately rather than waiting the ten seconds, unless an object is being detected between the doors.
  • When a floor button is selected from inside the elevator, proceed to the selected floor and open doors for ten seconds.
  • If multiple floor buttons are selected inside the elevator, proceed to each destination in order of their proximity.
  • If an upwards call button is pressed while in process of proceeding downwards to a floor in response to a floor button inside the elevator being pressed, ignore the request of the call button until after proceeding to the previously selected floor.
    • However, if a downwards call button is selected while proceeding downwards, stop on the floor on which the call button was pressed before proceeding downwards to the floor of the selected floor button.
  • If a downwards call button is pressed while in process of proceeding upwards to a floor in response to a floor button inside the elevator being pressed, ignore the request of the call button until after proceeding to the previously selected floor.
    • However, if an upwards call button is selected while proceeding upwards, stop on the floor on which the call button was pressed before proceeding upwards to the floor of the selected floor button.
  • Use arrow lights outside the elevator to indicate whether the elevator is moving upwards or downwards.
  • If the emergency stop button is pressed inside the elevator, stop immediately.
