Purposeful Summary—Burnbook

In 2010 Haiti experienced a catastrophic earthquake that whipped out most of their population. The earthquake not only caused mass distruction it cause coruptoion among the nation of haiti. Deperate families trying to hold on to what they had left after the earthquake resorted to looting. Most people might see this has a minor thing but in haiti it was so major that the life of a 15 year old child had to be taken behind a simple painting that couldve easily been replaced, a life not so much. On Janurary 19th Fabienne Cherisma was out looting when police shot and killed her. The bullet hit her in the head causing her to die and collaps on top of the paintings she had looted, blood filled the streets and she was left there alone like she meant nothing. Photographers would come in and take various shots of her deceased body for media. Leaving no room for grieving or even a little bit of diginity for the little girl that just lost her life.

On January 26th the parents of Fabienne publish a post recalling the life of Fabienne and how she had a bright future, the things she enjoyed, and her aspiration to be a nurse one day. The message was short and wholesome a modest reminder that it wasnt just a random child but a daughter, sister, cousin, niece, friend and a victim to the aftermath of discrution. Fabienne’s death touched people world wide. Her death not by ruble or natural selection makes it stand out compared to the thousands of other deaths that happened in Haiti. The whole point of the photographers being was the take shot of the tragdys happening in haiti to bring awareness and potentially help Haiti get back on their feet through donations. But a lot of the photographers got hate for being there and doing “nothing”. What can they really do, Put themselves in harms way and add more numbers to the death count? Overall, the death of Fabienne and the other thousands of Haitian citizens that lost their lives is tragic and they should all be remembered in some kind of way.

Too many angles and too little expressed Purpose for this to qualify as powerful Purposeful Summary. Lots of good content.
