Core Value 1. My work demonstrates that I used a variety of social and interactive practices that involve recursive stages of exploration, discovery, conceptualization, and development.

I researched a lot on the topic of my essay throughout the entirety of the semester. At one point I considered changing my topic because I was not sure if there was enough information on it but it turns out there was a lot of information on it after thoroughly exploring my resources. Conferencing with Professor made me feel a lot more comfortable re-writing some of my work because he gave me some insight on what I should be looking for in my paper. Professor provided me with some ideas that I used in my essay as good points on to why my argument is right. The conference helped move my paper in the right direction for success.

Core Value 2. My work demonstrates that I read critically, and that I placed texts into conversation with one another to create meaning by synthesizing ideas from various discourse communities. 

In order to do well on this assignment, it was critical to read thoroughly and carefully through all my sources to gather the best information that I could. I used certain sources to provide good points in my essay to persuade my readers. By placing certain texts in my paper, like why home field advantage matters, I was then able to explain why it actually does influence how a game is going to turn out by using certain statistics provided by a source that I had found.

Core Value 3. My work demonstrates that I rhetorically analyzed the purpose, audience, and contexts of my own writing and other texts and visual arguments.

I understood while writing my paper that there are a good amount of people that would disagree with my take of extending the season. Some would say that it is not safe and not fair to players. I proved in my paper that it would not be unsafe for the players and that my proposed schedule could potentially create a safer playing field for the athletes where they will have more time off during the season and be able to get paid more money for playing in such a physical, and brutal sport like professional football.

Core Value 4: My work demonstrates that I have met the expectations of academic writing by locating, evaluating, and incorporating illustrations and evidence to support my own ideas and interpretations.

My work does indeed meet the expectations of academic writing because I have included all of the outside resources that I have used for this assignment in either the annotated bibliography or just in my reference section. I have not plagiarized or used any information that I did not include somewhere in reference section. The information that I found online to include in my paper all supports my own ideas and interpretations. The information backs up my thesis and explains thoroughly why the NFL should change its 16 game schedule to an 18 game schedule.

Core Value 5. My work demonstrates that I respect my ethical responsibility to represent complex ideas fairly and to the sources of my information with appropriate citation. 

My work shows that I understand all ideas that circle around potential changes to the NFL schedule. I understand why some people would disagree with making the season longer. However, I feel that in my paper, I created a solid argument on to why the NFL should change its schedule to 18 games using different resources across the internet. I used appropriate citation as well, listing all the links that I had used in my paper.
