New York City’s busy streets conceal a widespread problem: a rat infestation that has persisted for years and raised questions about public health and municipal sanitation. These rodents put the public’s health at peril by polluting food sources and transmitting illnesses. It is essential to appreciate the sources of this problem and take into account workable solutions if the city’s citizens are to live in a safer and healthier environment. This study aims to go deeply into NYC’s crevices and crannies in order to pinpoint the origins of the rat infestation and offer practical control strategies.
This project aims to make New York City a safer place to live by exposing the complexities of the rat problem there. We hope to fully grasp the problem and offer practical, environmentally beneficial solutions by integrating scientific research, community input, and expert perspectives. By starting this research, we intend to make a significant impact on urban hygiene, public health, and the general standard of living for New York City citizens.
