Core Value 1. My work demonstrates that I used a variety of social and interactive practices that involve recursive stages of exploration, discovery, conceptualization, and development.

While searching the internet, specifically through Google Scholar, I could practice the recursive stages of exploration, discovery, conceptualization, and development. I did this by looking through articles and seeing if they were valid and would help support me in my essay to prove my claims. I could use different research techniques, like specific words or phrases, to find the most valuable articles. While making my Annotated bibliography, it was most helpful to have these skills. 

Core Value 2. My work demonstrates that I read critically, and that I placed texts into conversation with one another to create meaning by synthesizing ideas from various discourse communities. 

While working on my Definition Essay, I demonstrated how to read critically through the many articles I had to go through to find the more valuable information for my essay. I also used people like my mom to understand my topic better because she worked as a healthcare broker. By not only using the internet but also someone who deals with healthcare every day, I could fully grasp my topic of healthcare and understand it from a different perspective. 

Core Value 3. My work demonstrates that I rhetorically analyzed the purpose, audience, and contexts of my own writing and other texts and visual arguments.

While writing my Visual Rhetoric, I learned how to analyze the purpose, audience, and context rhetorically. I could understand how to write something for the audience to see what I was writing about and explain the many different aspects of the video I was writing about to make sure the audience understood. 

Core Value 4: My work demonstrates that I have met the expectations of academic writing by locating, evaluating, and incorporating illustrations and evidence to support my own ideas and interpretations.

While writing my Rebuttal Essay, I found strong evidence to back my claims while using strong articles that went against my claim. I could locate, evaluate, and incorporate illustrations that supported my claims to help me better prove my claim in my essay. 

Core Value 5. My work demonstrates that I respect my ethical responsibility to represent complex ideas fairly and to the sources of my information with appropriate citation.

My Proposal +5 represented my ethical responsibility to represent complex ideas fairly. I could find sources I found value in for my essay and then show how I would use them in my essay in a beneficial way. I also worked on my citations for each of my articles in the correct way.
